Fulfillment

I've always thought the word fulfilment to be a strange one, its ful and fil squashed together with a little (ce)ment at the end to hold it all together.

It's different for each of us though, right?
And then there is self-fulfilment now this has to be different from normal general fulfilment. I always think of someone achieving a lifetimes ambition or finally getting to wherever it was they were going in life, so they become fulfilled - which again is something entirely different.

And then there is the whole issue of being fulfilled - are you ever really for more than a second fulfilled? - there is always the next thing around the corner, ambition can play its part here or greed can get involved or just the elements of life.

A serial bank robber who always thinks "just one more job" could be ambitious, certainly not fulfilled and probably a little greedy when it comes down to it.

A person running a successful business might be fulfilled for a second before thinking about grand plans of expansion, so ambition takes over again.

The poor little blighter, nobody stands a chance of being fulfilled for more than a second with all these other things kicking around.

sure you can be successful, take a journey of self enlightenment, find meaning from the stars or devote yourself to a cause or religion but fulfilment, well that's a different ballgame.

Another fulfilling blog..... or not
Depends on if your full or not, or still hungry I guess? or does it?

Souvenirs for the Royal Wedding anyone??

The Royal wedding is upon us. It's everywhere at the moment. Social index scores are going to go through the roof with all the tweets. Now I may be an Englishman and I am sure it will be a great day but for me I'll have it on the tele and that's about it.  Good luck to them, it must be strange being a Royal couple, with the obvious comparisons.

Anyway this blog isn't about that it's about the strange and random souvenirs that have come about as a result of this Royal shindig.
Ill looking plates are only the tip of the iceberg!
Over the last few days I've been seen some strange items on Facebook and the web and I thought I would put a few of them here for you.

This was brought to my attention last night. That is right folks you can purchase these special edition rubbers. Ideal for when you fancy a royal rumble or something a little more posh. Imagine the look on your ladies face when you tell her that William and Kate will be joining your night of passion. One of these discreetly left on the bedside cabinet will show her your about to treat her as Royalty. Can also be rolled out to provide all weather bunting, or giant water bombs.

When I found this I thought of getting on the phone straight away and getting one. It's unique though and limited. Her dress is cheese based and William is sporting a salami suit with peppers. Lada Gaga eat your heart out. At least it looks like you actually might get a decent amount of topping on this one though. There is also a joke here about inches but its a Royal wedding so I have to be a little careful...

This made me feel a little uneasy actually.
I was thinking there must be something out there for the person who wants to celebrate whilst holding their gateway to the social media world in the palm of their hand. Not only can you tweet the   day away you can also do it with a constant reminder of your
love for the happy couple. I would say these are going to sell out fast but then what do i know about royal weddings. I used to really like our Charlie and Diana ashtray when I was a kid, that was well engineered to. Haven't seen many of them this time around though, I wonder why?

4) Harry and Katie??               From guandongenterprises ltd
Genius, I couldn't get a better picture of this mug but visit their site and have a good look. It would seem that someone wasn't quite sure how William looked! - This could be a genius purchase and one I am sure we will see in a few decades on the Antiques roadshow. Well we might you never know! - really have a look at the site its my favorite so far.

5) The Travelmug                  £20.50 from Zazzle.co.uk
Now this one actually has a practical use and is well built.
For a lot of my engineers out there that morning coffee is essential.
Usually a quick slurp before leaving for work, well
not anymore! Your morning sip will remind you of this
glorious day from this day onwards.
The only thing I would say though is that this is going to look better in the drink holder of a Jag than it is a old clapped out white van. French car holders may still apply as just having this in the car is going to add value. I think I must have something for mugs as
I seem to like these last 2 items the most.

Thats is. There is a lot of other stuff out there but all these items are real. I've linked each one to its source so you can share in the joy of the big day. My advice is not to spend your money on plates and tacky items but instead choose one of the Royal selections above.

Have a great day!

Closing the laptop

I've been away for a week with the family and spending a little more time away from the desk I seem to have spent the last year of my life rooted at. In-fact, I looked at my chair today and there is a distinct impression of my arse cheeks pressed into the leather bounding.

For work I'm at the computer or on the iphone or on the landline. when I am not working and not out and about I'm usually reading things online, writing online, trying to work out the next thing. .

My television viewing hours are less than double figures on a weekly basis as I'm plugged into to the online world.

I still had my wireless dongle on holiday, I still had to check emails but I was more regimented. morning and evening rather than constantly.

As we approach Easter, if you have family spend sometime with them, your online friends will still be there and so will your business. If you haven't afforded yourself the time lately because you have been so busy walk outside and take a big sniff of that crazy real world.

Normal service is now resumed, but I'm going to keep a little back for me and the girls - and shut this damn laptop more.

is this how an Ant or a Bee feels ? I wonder .....

Can words describe Japan?

Now, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here or trying to show a side of my character I haven't before but I am genuinely and deeply trying to understand just how it is in Japan at the moment.

How must it feel if your a survivor of what has happened before and what fear must you have of the future?

Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Nuclear, volcanoes, aftershocks and complete devastation of anything that resembles a normal life which will last for many years to come. (is there anything more that can be added to the list of living hell?)

As a human we are nothing against the power and rage of the planet we live on. If this was a crime it would be one where the victim was tortured and then executed. Lured out by a quake and then swallowed up by the sea, if there is a higher power then one might ask where is the mercy?

The TV shows things many of us have never seen before, normally I would shun the news for its reporting but the last few days have been something I cannot put into words.

All I know is these events for me have put a real relevance on things - if you have something to do, do it now because one minute you could be having a nice day and the next........

None of us are indestructible
